I was contracted by Georgian College as the Instructional Designer for Project Controls and Leadership Fundamentals, a ten-module online micro-certificate made up of three related micro-credentials.
Course Design and Development
The micro-certificate includes Strategic Planning and Business Management, Planning and Scheduling Best Practices, and Improving Project Outcomes.
Learners develop practical skills in leadership, capital asset management, strategic planning, project scheduling, cost control, risk management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement.
I worked closely with subject matter experts to turn highly technical source material into a clear and consistent online learning experience. My work included organizing the content, refining learning outcomes, editing instructional material, and developing interactive activities. I also created knowledge checks, final assessments, learner PDFs, and supplementary resources.
I developed the modules in Articulate Rise 360 and published each one as a SCORM package. I then built the complete micro-certificate structure in Blackboard Ultra.
I configured completion requirements, assessment attempts, grade tracking, and course progression. I also conducted detailed quality assurance across all ten modules.
